THE REQUEST:
Provide tours and entertainment for spouses during a convention
ATTENDEES:
250 spouses at a national convention for the engineering industry based at the Hyatt Regency Convention Center in Houston, Texas
THE EVENTS:
Day One – tour of historical Old Town Spring with our own guide providing fun stories about the area on the bus ride, lunch and shopping on their own
Day Two – tour of NASA with their guide and private lunch, our guide entertaining everyone on the bus ride
Day Three – tour of whimsical and folk art sites in the area with our own guide, ending with box lunch and original comedy show at a unique and intimate theater
WHAT WE DID:
We organized and handled all aspects of the Spouse Program, including sign-ups, buses, tours, guides, lunches and entertainment. The objective was to make each event intriguing and special.
Our guides engaged our guests by sharing rich, interesting, and often humorous stories about the locales we visited and the unique people who lived and worked there.
Our original sketch and musical comedy show “Outside the Box Lunch” poked gentle fun at relationships and was met with much appreciative laughter. We provided our guests with a delicious gourmet box lunch.
RESULTS:
We heard many remarks that this was the most entertaining, unique, interesting and fun spouse program they had been through. The meeting planner who hired us was extremely pleased with how smoothly and professionally everything was handled.
